INGREDIENTS
1/2 head of cauliflower, chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 cup shredded cheese, such as cheddar or mozzarella
2-3 slices of gouda cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 egg, beaten
PREPARATIONS
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a pot of boiling water, cook the cauliflower florets for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly firm. Drain the cauliflower and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
Add the cooked cauliflower to the cheese mixture and toss until the cauliflower is coated with the cheesy mixture.
Transfer the cauliflower mixture to a baking dish or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Arrange the gouda cheese slices on top of the cauliflower mixture.
In a small bowl, beat the egg and drizzle it evenly over the cauliflower and cheese.
Place the baking dish or sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
