Baked Cheesy Cauliflower

  • 1/2 head of cauliflower, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, such as cheddar or mozzarella
  • 2-3 slices of gouda cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a pot of boiling water, cook the cauliflower florets for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly firm. Drain the cauliflower and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  • Add the cooked cauliflower to the cheese mixture and toss until the cauliflower is coated with the cheesy mixture.
  • Transfer the cauliflower mixture to a baking dish or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the gouda cheese slices on top of the cauliflower mixture.
  • In a small bowl, beat the egg and drizzle it evenly over the cauliflower and cheese.
  • Place the baking dish or sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
  • Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
