Springtime Brie Toast

Let yourself be tempted by the delicacy of melted brie on a toast

  • 50 g Paysan Breton Brie
  • 20 g of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of thick cream
  • 250g of mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • 4 to 6 nice slices of bread
  • 4 to 6 thin slices of ham
  • Rinse and dry the mushrooms and cut them into thin strips. 
  • In a pan, melt the butter with the oil and cook the mushrooms until they are golden brown. 
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cream, salt, and pepper, sprinkle with thyme and mix gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Stop cooking and set aside. 
  • Preheat the oven with the grill function. Arrange the slices of bread on a baking sheet. Divide the mushroom preparation, then arrange the slices of cured ham. 
  • Cut the Paysan Breton Brie into thin slices about 3mm thick. Spread them on the toast: count about 2 to 3 slices slightly superimposed. 
  • Add salt and pepper and bake for 3 to 4 minutes. Serve the toast right out of the oven, accompanied by salad.
